This is going to be a long one! My name is Lacey Harnish! I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I love to document everything with a camera! My favorite item to put on my christmas list was always a new camera! I loved getting the newest, coolest camera out! There was no better present to me than a new camera! I have used about every type of camera, 35mm film cameras, digital film cameras, polariods, oatmeal containers (not a joke!), digital & film SLR, and so on! Looking back through pictures growing up I could tell what pictures I had taken because the tops of the heads were cut off! :D Hey I was five!! I didn't think they needed all of that hair on their head!
I am not only a photographer but a wife and stay at home mother. I have a loving husband and a sweet, ornery, rough and tough toddler! They are my whole world! I know I am loved because they put up with my constant camera in hand capturing every single moment from the really precious ones to the most mundane everyday tasks without complaining!
I am currently an on location photographer. We have been and still are searching for a perfect home for our family in Keokuk, Iowa and once we find that home will be building a studio. It will be amazing because I will be able to have even more options for my clients.
I am very laid back, so get ready for a fun photo shoot. I want your session to be a fun and special one. I want you to be comfortable with me and want you to come back to me for all of your photography needs. I would love to talk with you before your session to get to know you and get a feel of exactly what you want from your session so I can get those unique photographs that you are wanting.
I will throw out ideas for different poses or things to try, if you don’t want to do them it is not a problem just let me know. Anything you want to try let me know that too! I am always open to trying new things!
I have an unlimited amount of patience with children and like to talk and play with them while I am capturing those precious memories for you. I want you and your children to have fun, so if a little play break or snack break is needed during the session it is not a problem. With babies if you need to stop and feed the baby, rock the baby, anything, it is not a problem at all. I am there for you until you are ready for me to be done photographing your precious little ones!
I edit my general portraits session in order so if there are any in front of yours I will edit them first and then start on yours. I spend a lot of time editing the best images from your photo shoot. I want each image to be a work of art and to reflect you and your family in the best way possible. I want each photograph to be a memory you will want to cherish forever. I love adding a creative touch to the photographs but also keep the original edits for you because everyone has different tastes so I want you to be able to choose what you love!
